Route Descriptions

5 K Run and 5K Walk

Participants start at the "bottom" of Falldown Lane in Carp. They proceed west on Donald B. Munro Drive, to Craig Side Road, turn right on Craig Side Road, over the Carp River and halfway up the hill turn right, into the entrance to Huntley Community Center parking lot. Proceed through the west entrance of the Diefenbunker Blast Tunnel, past the Carp Library, to Carp Road and back to the Fair Grounds.

10K Run

Runners start at the same time and place as the 5K participants, and follow the same route as far as Craig Side Road. Here they continue on Donald B. Munro Drive to Old Coach Road (gravel), turn right and travel out to the half way mark and then return to Donald B. Munro Drive turning left back to the Craig Side Road. Follow this road over the Carp River and halfway up the hill turn right, into the entrance to Huntley Community Center parking lot. Proceed through the west entrance of the Diefenbunker Blast Tunnel, past the Carp Library, to Carp Road and back to the Fair Grounds.

5k Cycle, 18k Cycle and 33k Cycle

Cycle events start at the intersection of Falldown Lane and Donald B Munro Drive and finish on Carp Road at the entrance to the library. Routes are fully paved, through gently rolling farmland and wooded areas, with a few steep hills. Some roads will be temporarily closed to traffic.

5K: proceed west on Donald B. Munro Drive, to Craig Side Road, Turn right on Craig Side Road, over the Carp River and up the hill to Carp Road and turn right on Carp Road back to the village.
18k: west on Donald B. Munro Drive to Marathon Village and turn right onto Thomas Dolan Parkway. Continue across Diamondview Road to Carp Road and turn right back to the village.
33k: west on Donald B Munro Drive, past Marathon Village, to Kinburn. Keep to the right on Loggers Way, then right on Kinburn Side Road over to Carp Road. Another right turn on Carp Road back to the village.
